Girl Scouts Discover Mexico

This Girl Scout trip to Mexico begins with its diverse capital, Mexico City, where you'll see the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and admire thousand-year-old pyramids. Then travel to Our Cabaña, the largest of the four world centers, where you'll participate in a full day of activities with Girl Scouts from around the world. Your last stop is the charming beach town of Acapulco, where you can take some time to relax and enjoy the sun. 

Day 1: 
Fly to Mexico
Arrive in Mexico City
Take a walking tour of Mexico City

Day 2:  Mexico City
Take a guided tour of Mexico City:
  • Zócalo
  • Palacio Nacional
  • Templo Mayor
  • Visit the National Museum of Anthropology
    Visit Chapultepec Castle
    Optional: Frida Kahlo Museum and Coyoacan

    Day 3:  Mexico City
    Take a guided tour of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Teotihuacán Pyramids
    Stop at an obsidian shop
    Optional: Ballet Folklórico

    Day 4:  Our Cabaña
    Travel to Cuernavaca
    Take an introductory tour of Our Cabaña
    Participate in afternoon activities at Our Cabaña

    Day 5:  Our Cabaña
    Enjoy a full day of activities at Our Cabaña

    Day 6:  Our Cabaña • Taxco
    Participate in a closing activity at Our Cabaña
    Travel to Taxco
    Take a guided tour of Taxco
    Visit the Church of Santa Prisca

    Day 7:  Acapulco
    Travel to Acapulco

    Day 8:  Acapulco
    Attend a cliff-diving show

    Day 9:  Depart for home
